Meditation & Buddhism
Buddhism Classes Mondays at 7.30pm - Meditation Classes Wednesdays at 7.30pm
Dharmacari Tiratnadana (Paul Beard) is the Spiritual Director of The Dharmadatu Sangha, a non-sectarian Buddhist group based in Mandurah. He formalised his own commitment to the Buddhist path in 1985 within the Theravadin school of Buddhism and has also received training in the Tibetan and Zen schools and the Western Buddhist movement. Ordained in 1992, he has been a practicing Buddhist since 1983 and now teaches a style of Buddhism that emphasises a practical 21st Century approach to these ancient teachings that lets go of the religious dogma that is so common within other traditions. He has taught Buddhism and Meditation at UK Buddhist centres and has led several retreats there, as well as teaching meditation within the corporate sector occupational health field, focussing on those suffering from stress, depression and anxiety disorders. At these classes you will find no shaven heads or long flowing robes, just a group of friendly, like-minded individuals making their own commitment to the Buddhist path.
