Yoga
some tips for you
Clothing should
be loose and comfortable for ease of movement.
Eating eat
only a light snack at least 2 hours before a class as some postures can
make you feel nauseated if there is undigested food in the stomach. It's
okay to have something light, like fruit, before class if energy levels
are low. Drink water before and especially after class but not during
the session.
Hygiene It
is important that your feet are clean as it helps to keep our mats clean
and hygienic
Competition yoga
is non competitive.
Don't compare yourself with others or with yourself as
you were yesterday, or how you wish to be tomorrow.
Yoga is about here and now.
ENJOY !!!!!
Astanga yoga is a dynamic flow of postures practiced in a sequence using breath
and movement in one.
Must have some level of fitness. Cardiovascular and
stamina building.

Dynamic yoga is a creative style of Hatha yoga, principles of Astanga an Iyengar.
Dynamic yoga is not only meditative but also physically challenging.
Correct breath control is essential to creating a seamless flow of
postures. Dynamic classes offer the chance to practice inversions and
to build strength and focus, options / variations are always offered
tho', so all are welcome.
Hatha yoga prepares the body via physical and breathing exercises. It prepares
and conditions the body so that the mind can practice meditation more
or less without obstacles creating bodily health and emotional well-being.
Hatha yoga integrates body, mind, emotions and soul through breath,
gentle body work, meditation and relaxation. Yoga and relaxation will
slow down the mind, allowing for quiet and calm. This means health,
energy, vitality and joy from deep inside.
Iyengar yoga, Iyengar style yoga has it's foundation in the form, alignment and therapeutic approach of B.K.S.Iyengar. However this is not a certified Iyengar class. Many other influences combine to stimulate and challenge the body's physical intelligence, mental focus and innate capacity to improve. Your practice will enhance form and function, breath and awareness, and the all important work/rest/relax balance in a fun and safe environment.
Open Awaken is
suitable for ALL LEVELS as the pace is slow enough for "newby's" to
find their feet.
Postures are sequenced together to create core strength, postural alignment
and awareness, flexibility and a sense of release and building on the
practice at their own pace. The session always begins with breath
awareness and focus and ends with guided relaxation or meditation.
Vinyasa yoga is a popular, dynamic style of Hatha yoga that focuses on integrating
breath and movement, awareness and alignment, strength
and flexibility. This class is taught in levels as the pace
can make it challenging for some. It
uses counter-poses to balance the effects of each asana; modification
of postures for different levels and injury prevention. LEVEL
