oils, for psychological and physical well-being. It is an holistic treatment which can have a profound effect on the mind, body and emotions.
Essential oils are obtained from a wide assortment of plants, which have been steam distilled or cold-pressed from flowers, fruit, bark and roots.
Essential oils have been found to provide both psychological and physical benefits when used correctly and safely. There are many essential oils.
Aromatherapy combines the soothing, healing touch of massage with the therapeutic properties of Essential Oils.
Massage oils for aromatherapy consist of an essential oil, or oils blended with a suitable carrier oil. Massage has a powerful effect on the body and the emotions, combined with the therapeutic qualities of essential oils massage can be a very invigorating or deeply relaxing
experience. The components of the various oils are believed to aid in a variety of health, beauty and hygiene conditions.
BOWEN
Bowen is not a normal massage. It is a non-invasive system of
muscle and connective tissue therapy. A series of soft tissue
movements are performed, using a gentle roll or series
of moves across the muscle and connective tissue. This helps release
muscle spasms, reduce tension, relieves congestion and trapped
energy is released. This results in the elimination of toxins,
which improves circulation and lymphatic drainage and re-aligns
the body. The muscle becomes more flexible and improves through
better hydration and supply of nutrients to its cells.
In most instances,
work will be done on the massage table and it is best to wear
loose clothing and non-restricting underwear. The vascular,
lymphatic and nervous systems will be able to function more
efficiently after a Bowen treatment.
MUSCLE KINESIOLOGY
This
utilises applications from Kinesiology techniques to assist in
the restoration of postural balance.
MUSCLE TENSION
RESET TECHNIQUE
This technique has been developed over the last 10 years by
John Holodnak. The focus of this technique is to release tight,
tense muscles, tendons and ligaments that distort and twist
the body's postural alignment. The concept of this technique
works with the body's synchronised, switching and polarity system
that influences the workings of the muscles, ligaments etc.
This technique is a gentle, non-invasive application that can
be applied through loose, light clothing whether it be lying
down or standing up.
REFLEXOLOGY
A form of healing done by applying pressure to reflex points on
the feet, the hands and/or ears. These points correspond to the
organs of the body. Any soreness found in an indication that the
particular organ is not functioning fully and massaging or stimulating
that point for a short time appears to produce improvement. The
whole body is stimulated by working on the whole of both feet.
